St. Paul Students’ Religious Education Tests Are Impressive!

June 2011

St. Paul School recently received the results of the Springfield Diocesan Religion Test – also known as A.C.R.E (Assessment of Catechism and Religious Education). Grades 5 and 8 are tested.

Results are reported as such:
‘Needs Improvement’ (low score)
‘Proficient’ (good score)
‘Advanced’ (excellent score)

Here are the highlights of St. Paul’s results:

2011

  • 78% of the 5th Grade Class scored ‘Proficient’ or above
  • 100% of the 8th Grade Class scored ‘Proficient’ or above
  • 70% of the 8th Grade Class scored ‘Advanced’ Results

Overall, the results were very impressive and show how much emphasis is placed on the study of our faith as well as traditional subjects.


St. Paul Students Score Very Well on Terra Nova Tests!

January 2012

In nationwide testing of public and private schools through Terra Nova Standardized Tests, St. Paul Students score in the top percentiles nationally.

Current results of all 8th Grade Students:

2011 Test Scores

  • 95% of the eighth grade scored above the 50th percentile in Reading.
  • 77% of the eighth grade scored above the 75th percentile in Math.
  • 95% of the eighth grade scored above the 50th percentile in Science.
  • In Reading, Math and Science, 27% of St. Paul 8th Grade Students scored in the top 10% in the nation!
